We had a Holiday Card request last year that read
exactly as follows: I am throwing a
Thanksgiving Dinner and a Christmas Dinner.
The same bunch comes every year, twice a year,
and I can't even remember ever inviting half of 'em.
So I got to thinking maybe if I actually did invite
all of 'em maybe half of 'em won't show! That may
seem like twisted logic in a lot of folks eyes but I wanna
give it a try. Make'em a simple little poem, Thank You.
She wrote back to us in early January saying
that not only did her plan fail, but most of them
brought a guest. ''The poem was lovely'' she added.
